NASCAR Southwest Tour Series at Sears Point Raceway
Charles Solomon Jr.
Pro Racing
Solomon began street racing after high school and was undefeated in a souped up 71 Chevy SWB 400 CI pickup going out to the Old Maypearl highway in quarter mile runs. That led to club racing and eventually pro racing.
Solomon competed in some NASCAR races and was running in 2nd place in the Grand-Am Cup series standings before a near-fatal accident (OUCH!) at Watkins Glen practicing for the next race.
After 9 years of rehab he competed in Pirelli World Challenge races, winning some Hard Charger awards and some top 5 finishes. He still races occasionally in endurance races with one of his former World Challenge teams.
